Another way of asking this, Is my website indexed?
Having your website indexed is the technical term to is my website showing up on search engines, are all of my pages being found.
You might be wondering why your search engine traffic might be low or you just want to know are the search engines finding you. It’s actually pretty easy to check.
- Head over to your favorite search engine – Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves
- Now in the Search Field you want to put in your web address with “site:” in front of it like this
site:thedss.ca - If your website is indexed correctly it should bring up all of your pages that belong to your domain in my case 90 pages – https://www.google.ca/search?source=hp&q=site%3Athedss.ca&oq=site%3Athedss.ca&gs_l=psy-ab.3…1426.4521.0.4772.16.14.0.0.0.0.285.1782.0j4j4.8.0….0…1.1.64.psy-ab..8.4.804.6..35i39k1j0i67k1j0i131k1.joYoQeAYgHE
- Just alter the search with your domain to see how much of your website is indexed.
