Email Marketing Do’s and Don’ts

If you are getting into, or have on going Email Marketing Campaigns or Newsletters, here are just a few things that you might want to keep in mind. Do’s Set expectations for when people join your list. The worst thing you could do is set the expectation you will only be sending out a monthly newsletter, and then start sending out emails on different topics on a weekly basis. This is a quick way to deter people from remaining on your list. Focus on letting them know how often you will be sending emails, the types of emails to expect...

Referral Spam Messing up your Analytics? Filter it out

There are various Analytics and Search Engine Optimization services that will load up your analytic systems with referral traffic. The problem is that they aren’t real referral traffic and bloat your data. What these typically are really, is a crawler but doesn’t act like a standard crawler. So you get overwhelmed with referral data that isn’t of any value. If you using Google Analytics you can remove this traffic with filters. WordPress Premium Frameworks

There are a growing number of Premium WordPress Frameworks, and that makes it a challenge to sort out where to start. A lot of people get hooked on one framework  and they become very proficient at using that framework, which I think is great. Your Mobile Website affects your Search Rankings

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents. I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now. When, while the lovely valley teems with...

Source Formatting your Code – Dreamweaver CC

So at my new position at the main company I work for I’m now working with other front-end/back-end developers and designers on a regular basis. The  biggest lesson I’ve learned is about how much easier a project goes if you have clean easy to read source code. For those not in the html world it means making sure all of your tags line up and are indented properly and easy to follow. As everyone uses different tools from various text editors to code editors (if your like me Dreamweaver, I know I’m not a purest yet using sublime….). So this...
